What is the BEST Place to stay in Las Vegas?

Q. Okay so im having a really hard time deciding where to stay between Mandalay Bay, The Mirage, Aria, Vdara hotel and spa , Palms and the golden nugget. I want a really NICE pool and jacuzzi. Also a pool that is heated. PLEASE give me all the information that you can. THANKS!!!

A. When people ask me where to stay in vegas I always say that this is a decision that needs to be broken up into whats important to you

1) Location
2) Pools
3) Rooms
4) Night Life
5) Price

Not all of those things will be important to all people.

Of the places you mentioned if you're looking for a resort you will spend most of your time at and want to spend time by the pool I definitely say Mandalay bay, the pool is great, rooms are great, and there is some night life in the hotel for dinner and drink. Mandalay bay lacks on location for sure, the price is usually pretty fair. Your suggestion of Palms is similar in that you'll likely be spending more time at the palms as its a little more out of the way so you have to be happy with what the hotel has to offer.

Vdara and Aria are interchangeable, they are next door and you will use all the same restaurants/bars/casino just different pools and rooms. They are closer to the centre of the strip, same as the mirage so if location is important I'd go with those, you'll be closer to the action.

What is the best hotel on the Vegas strip?
Q. My fiance and I are planning on getting married in Vegas this April. I am wanting to get recommendations for the best hotel on the strip. I would like to get married in the same hotel that I stay in. I have been looking at the Riviera, Excalibur and Stratosphere. We can't afford anything super fancy like the Venetian. Any suggestions? Thanks!

A. Las Vegas hotels can be broken down into 3 tiers:
highest quality = Palazzo, Venetian, Ceasars, Aria, Cosmo, Wynn, Encore, etc
mid quality = NYNY, MGM, TI, Mirage, Planet Hollywood, Paris, Flamigo, etc

lowest tier (least expensive) = Excalibur, Riviera, Stratosphere, Imperial Palace, etc. These are the opposite of super fancy. With these you truly get what you pay for; I would not want a wedding here. It would be much more enjoyable in a park back home.

You might consider looking at the smaller hotels in the middle range - Monte Carlo, Paris, Planet Hollywood.
~ besides that you are out of luck.

What hotel is recommended to stay in Las Vegas?
Q. I plan to stay with my family a couple of days in Las Vegas, and did a reservation in the Luxor Hotel.
I liked Luxor because of the good promotions they have, such as the "all you can eat" package and the Criss Angel shows they offer.
However, due to the bad reviews I have read about this hotel, I might cancel the reservation and might consider other Hotel.

Is Luxor a good option...?
What other hotels can you suggest me with similar or better promotions?

Thanks in advance.

A. Luxor is an Ok hotel but not the best deal you can get on the strip. Here are the problems with the Luxor.

1) There is a resort fee of $14.50 they will tag on per day. So whatever they are quoting you is plus the resort fee per day.
2) Criss Angels show sucks and is actually one of the worst shows in Vegas.

Here are comparable hotels that will give you a better deal for the money.. Flamingo, Aria, Bally's, Imperial Palace, Planet Hollywood & MGM Grand. Here are some discount codes. http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/harrahs-discount-codes.php
